have you ever seen the snl sketch with the npr ladies who do the show "the delicious dish"? this looks like a script for them. :) you can really elaborate on your food!

Inthink I love the cusp of seasons changing too. Just so much potential before the weather actually changes.

My dad loves ginger and molasses almost more than anything else in life, and I've been wanting to find the perfect recipe for a killer gingerbread to make when I go visit him in the Tennessee mountains at Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for pointing out the recipe!

(The only part of living on the East Coast that I miss now that I live in LA is the feeling of impending autumn! It's my favorite season and the food and the smells are a big part of that!)

I'm always surprised that fallen leaves really do smell like spices. It seems like just a tidy seasonal association, but it's true.

Mmmm, your description of fall makes me all happy and warm and fuzzy. I miss Fall in Seattle. I used to have a boyfriend who lived there and I would come and visit all the time because I loved the city so much (perhaps more than I loved him, but that's a story for a different time...).
