I should try it that way next time! It's funny that my friend and his sister don't touch papaya salad, but I'm try to get them to eat it with me and the rest of their family :)

I also want to try it with tamarind paste. I think that's a Hmong variation (?).

Oh, well if you're going to leave out the tomatoes, you could add some shredded carrot for a little added flavor :) Either way is good.

if you have terrible reflux...chilies should bother it as they're more acid than tomatoes
