Well, no one here in my family likes traditional cole slaw- it's either too sweet or too tangy. Most recipes call for you to actually add in sugar and vinegar into your mayo for the dressing but I was experimenting to make a slaw we would all like and it's easy too. I figured, what could I use to add the sweet and tangyness but at a more acceptable level? I used lemonade! LOL. It's sounds odd but it works! I use shredded cabbage and rainbow slaw blend- with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I make a light dressing with some mayo, salt and pepper, chili powder for a little kick, and thin it to the consistency I like with lemonade. I used the bottled Simply Orange brand's lemonade- Simply Lemonade. Many slaws have you use lemon anyways so I figured it would work- and it did! It's nice and light- not too tart or too sweet and everyone here likes it.
