My sister sent me some wonderful new spices for my birthday so they had to get a workout. The steaks are rib eyes, one of them coated in fresh-ground pepper and salt, and the other in "Chicago Steak Seasoning." We each took half of one to see which version we liked better; the Chicago seasoning won. The vegetables were sauteed in butter sprinkled with an Adobo spice mix. The brown rice did a great job mopping up the juice from the steaks so not a drop was wasted. Unfortunately, the photo is a little blurry because it smelled so good that we were apparently in a little too much of a a hurry to dig in.
