I've been wanting to make tomato soup, but the tomatoes have looked terrible lately! I've been trying to find recipes with canned tomatoes, but they just don't sound quite as good. These look awesome!
Here is the recipe. I doubled it and like I said used regular tomatoes as well as roma. I also did not blend the soup until the end. I have a stick blender and see no need to go through the loading it all into the blender.
Oh yes, but that doesn't stop me from devouring every one of them that slips into my hands. My favorite way of personal torture is to cut them in half and eat them raw with sea salt. Roasted is good, but mmmm fresh tomatos!
