As much as I love cornish pasties, the crusts on some of those beasts was enough to crack my teeth. :D Darnit, now I've got thoughts of parsnips and corned beef stuffed bao.
This looks really good; am interested in making them. I wasn't sure it really specifies, but about how many does the recipe make/how many people would it serve? And what would you serve alongside them?
I make mine rather big so I get a dozen out of the dough recipe. However, depending on how thinly you make the dough rounds and the amount of filling it can swing from 12 to 2 dozen. Sort of a fly by the seat of your pants food. :)
If you're doing dinner, I'd go with a light salad or some steamed veggies when it's warm in the house. As for right now I made a bowl of vegetable soup for dipping/steam. Sorta all depends on the filling for preference. The goat ones I had alongside plain yogurt for dipping and a citrus salad.
pasties = awesome food. :) dunno about small though since the camera lies a bit since I have giant garbage can lid sized hands. they're definitly tasty the morning after. :D
