Last year we spent New Year's Eve at some friends' house, and we brought the dessert - vanilla flavoured pears poached in Muscat wine, served with whipped cream on homemade meringue nests.
Poached pears = heaven. The entire dessert sounds scrumptious. I might have added finely chopped crystallized ginger to the meringues as I love pear and ginger combined. Your meringues are playful. Very inventive!
