The other day I
posted with some questions about a cake I was baking for a party... well, here are the results! :D My first real layer cake sits behind the cut.

The cake, post-slicing - it's blurry because everyone wanted me to finish taking pics so Dan could finish slicing the cake. :D
It tasted amazing, everyone really enjoyed it. Thanks for all the suggestions and such - I love this comm. :D
(On a related note, how long will buttercream icing last? I had about a third of the icing I made left over and I don't really want to throw it out, but I'm also not motivated to make cupcakes or anything at the moment. Can I freeze it? Will it keep for a long time in the fridge?)
