Simple Summer Pastry: Strawberry Rhubarb Galette

It sure sounds fancy, doesn't it?

And it looks darling: the little rustic tart pleated around a filling of rhubarb-strawberry puree and ruby-like sliced strawberries of perfect ripeness, brushed with butter and sprinkled with raw sugar crystals.

Very pretty indeed! I haven't yet mastered anything more difficult than crisps, but I made a very tasty strawberry rhubarb crisp a couple of weeks ago with the traditional topping and pecans. I think the pecans really added a nice balance to the fruit

Yours looks much more difficult indeed, and very delicious.
