thank you, these are great recipes...but what i was looking for was more instructions on how to make ACTUAL candy bars...not recipes USING candy bars.

maybe i didnt explain well enough.

ok, seriously, these are the coolest recipes ever. And I bet these aren't quite as bad for you, without all the chemicals and preservatives that the manufactured versions have....

Go to your local library and borrow the Top Secret Recipe books.

I really should send an e-mail to the guy and ask him to pretty please clone the 5th Avenue bar. I miss buying it with almonds on top and adding them after the fact doesn't work very well. Home melted chocolate doesn't seem to want to behave like the candy bar chocolate. Just a big old mess.

Also Peanut Butter Twix which are devilish to find? Not the same size/shape but Keebler Shortbread cookies (the ones with the windmills, IIRR), some peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar plopped on top then the whole thing dipped in milk chocolate is pretty close to my memory of the manufactuer's Peanut Butter Twix.

Well, candy bar companies make giant sheets of them, cut them up, then dip in chocolate. Could be high end depending on ingredients.
