Just dug out an old copy of the "New Scientist" for this site - you better be proud of me :)

This article gives details of how the food replicators on Star Trek: The Next Generation work (or don't work, as the case may be) , and it's written a a little technically, but the information is solid.

Thanks for this! :) I'm not interested in Star Trek, but I might use something like this for one of my sci fi stories. Plus I just appreciate that someone has posted.

For sure!
i've started advertising the comm now. I'm hoping for a comm where lots of people comment on what is said, sort of like ffrants in that sense. Discussion is good. As is helping people. :)
And that was a very interesting resource! Weird though that it had stuff about nazi science in it too apparently, because I was only talking about that yesterday with people.
