i should go find the sketchbook full of my sister's drawings of paraplegic gymnasts. my parents thought there was something wrong with her, but she just thought gymnasts with stumps for limbs were funny.

Haha! Oh my god, this just made me laugh out loud. I'm a jerk.

Please go find them.

Also, when can I purchase a print? I'm excited.

The beh sounds nice. Wish I would've weat...

You did spell 'tomorrow' correctly, though, which is pretty awesome.

Haha - well played.

That handwriting was done by an adult. :( I did all the kid-like/dumb stuff like "weat to the beh".

Best journal entry of the week, if not the month bad_juice October 17 2006, 13:39:46 UTC
The scribbled out sad Mara is creepy and frightening and awesome.

Totally. That's exactly what I thought, too. "STUPID! I HATE ME!" and I sit there and..- oh, hey, kind of like the creepy manchild kid in The Ring. Please don't into some big long response about how it was originally a Japanese movie and Americans ruined it and blah blah and you like Asian girls and Brazillian rap covers by German techno bands, etc etc. I KNOW.

I've never even seen The Ring bad_juice October 18 2006, 12:40:56 UTC
And the American versions of The Grudge are just about as good as the Japanese ones.

Not that they are good, but - you know - they're not any worse.

wow, it's cool that you still have these...

the little girl in the family i recently finished working for, who was 6, wrote journals and short stories and drew pictures all the time. i have a lot of letters and pictures from her and her parents are the type to save things, so i wonder what she will think of herself later in life as she looks back...

what kind of kid were you?

I have tons of them actually. I just brought this one back with me from Maine after this summer. They get more elaborate with such insightful entries as "Tonight we are having chicken patties" and "I went 6 miles on a bicycle today!!" I'll post some of the other ones from this group soon. They are less creepy and more like a normal kid.

I was/am an only child so I had a LOT of time to myself. I hung out with my friends a lot but when that wasn't possibly, I'd spend hours in my room drawing, playing with dolls and creating elaborate stories. I actually MAYBE sort of played with dolls until I was about 13. I even named my set of puff paints and created personalities for them and relationships with each other. I would also coax my best friends into playing them with me, which they never really wanted to do. I still remember that the lavender one was named "Mianna" and the yellow and black one always sat together on the bus. I also named crayons and markets.. anything really ( ... )

Also, perhaps ignore all the typos in this entry. I have about 11 bandaids on my right ring finger AND I'm super tired from getting up when the moon was out.

ignored!

that's really fascinating to me as i was an only child as well until i was 13, did a lot of writing/drawing/crafts and was often in my own universe. i also really imersed myself in books. i would read a story, then use my stuffed animals and junk to continue the story i had just read about.
