I just keep thinking that if Gaara had been more of a character, this series wouldn't have been so fucked up by now. Because he is the only one who flat out said to Naruto from the very beginning what Sasuke was more then capable of becoming. Would have made him come up with a better course of action then blind faith.

Part 2 completely raped some of the characters....Gaara was so interesting in part 1, now I can barely stand to hear about him :/

They kind of butchered Sakura, like massively.

I mean, in part 1 with long hair it was like 'yeah, we know you're kind of not strong at all, but at least you're not pretending.'

Then in part 2 she has a kind of butch appearance, and its like 'well, you're basically the same as before, only less appealing to watch'

I agree with that about Sakura but not for the same reasons.

Yeah I agree with that in part 1 she is useless. But I really liked her in part 2, I like that she had a butch appearance and didn't conform to the normal anime chick big boobed retardedness that ALWAYS happens. It is kinda sickening. I liked that in the beginning she was perhaps not strong entirely yet, that she was still willing to grow to learn, and could hold her ground, but now she's taken 50 steps backwards way past part 1 into what I called "traditional anime woman" ground, it makes me want to smash kishi's face in.
