[Voice]For those of you who haven't been to school today, I'd like to repeat an important announcement. Tomorrow will be the last day of class until Monday the 11th of January. You've all earned a nice break and I'm sure everyone would rather stay home during this immense cold. Enjoy your time off, but don't forget to do your homework. I'd like you ( Read more... )

[There is a very audible, "Oh no!" here.

[Yes... she's complaining about having a break from class.]

Oh, Professor! Your other essay is ready, the one comparing magics. Should I give it to you tomorrow along with this new one? [The overachiever strikes again.]

[Oh Hermoine. Always so diligent.]

Yes, I'd like that. It will give me something interesting to read during the break. Out of curiosity, how many pages did you write?

[Always and forever. You can't learn if you aren't in school!]

All right. [Insert some wild number here that's closer to the top edge of their requirement because mun hasn't actually written it out like she'd like to, not even an outline I'm crazy, I know, but it'd be fun!.]

I decided to also delve into trying to teach it to myself and someone else from my world since we learned the same Filial magic together. [And there's theory and conjecture and who knows what else Hermione could squeeze in.]

That sounds like it'll be a fascinating read. I'm sure you'll put the same amount of work into your next essay.

Is that the weather patterns of our planet, or the region we lived in?

Why not both? You could compare them and provide a possible explanation for the difference. Feel free to improvise a bit.

[Oh my. Gelda's counting her blessings with all these prodigies in school.]

Excellent. I'll look forward to it.

[Despite being the busybody for the holidays, Miyabi's been curious about this school thing. Most of what she's learned was back home with her teacher, Ishaku. Painting, philosophy, swordplay, and the ever important Brush Skills she learned mostly from him.

So, hearing about this world's version of education, the tiny painter can't help but be a little curious.]

Ah, madam, what kinds of things do you teach your students?

[If she could learn more about this and other places, Miyabi would like to join when classes start up again. Art would be her forte, of course, but she's willing to try other things, too~]

Ah, we have all sorts of classes. Just the basics, of course. What with all the different worlds, we can't teach anything too specialized. The subjects are history, writing and reading, mathematics, a bit of science, magic and art. There is also a bit of physical education, but as we no longer have a teacher for that class, it's a bit of a flaky subject. Mostly, we encourage students to go outside and play sport-type games.

Ah, I see, I see! [Miyabi nods, looking intently at her journal, smiling after a moment of thought.] If it's not a problem, madam, may I please learn from you? I'm not very good at much of what you said, but I'll do my very best! ♥

You said you'll be starting after a few days...Is it all right if I come then?

Actually, we're taking a winter break. We'll start again on the 11th of January, which is a bit more than two weeks from now. Though if you stop by sooner, I can give you a quick test. Before new students can join the classes, we like to determine how advanced they are, grade wise. Then we'll know what to expect of them. It won't take too long, nor are the questions too specialized.

If you take the test soon, you can start classes on the 11th, along with everyone else.

[Gelda looks up from her diligent work to give Colette a friendly smile. Her hands are still molding snow as she speaks, though.]

Good afternoon, Colette. I'm making preparations for a snowball fight.

[It really is him. Looking... incredibly unhurt. Gelda's relieved to see that, of course.]

Jade. You've been returned to us, I see.

Yes. I had returned several days ago during that commotion, but it seems even I was not spared from forgetting what transpired.
