His arm is affected by "Fonic Contamination"-- he basically can fuse his weapon of choice to the atoms in his arm by breaking down the "fonons" and absorbing them. DID YOU KNOW THAT ABYSS IS FULL OF SCIENCE? So yes, Jade is fully armed at all times and who knows what else he's keeping around. (the party's extra items, probably. you won't want them back.) It's like Hammer Space, only more horrible.

Jade is/was a child genius and knows just about everything, is good at anything you could ever want to do ever (except for feelings), and IS TAKEHITO KOYASU. Not only is he a great soldier and strategist, he is arguably the best fonist (mage) in the entire Abyss world. :|b Jade is the guy you are glad you have On Your Side, because if he were the villain you would be mildly fucked. The one thing he can't do AT ALL is use the Seventh Fonon-- that is, heal. lol tragic backstory. Jade is your terrifying dark mage and it's best you don't know how terrifying he really is. :')

One of the reasons for this is that Jade's fonic abilities have been greatly decreased by virtue of not being in Auldrant (i.e. not being near the fon belt/large amount of fonons/magic source etc.). So I will take great caution in using his artes for anything but comedic violence and other such endeavours! Which should be fine, seeing as he is not a healer so I don't see it coming up that often if I play my cards right.
Notes for the Psychics: ... it's a canon joke that he can probably read minds, so you may or may not get a "I see what you're doing there" in response. In all seriousness, he's probably thinking a bunch of stuff among the lines of SCIENCE and ALSO FONONS! While you're reading his mind he may have raped you (purely for science) and let Anise take your wallet.
Jade is also a Japanese Sociopath(tm), as in he fails at feelings and relationships for the sake of plot but he is also secretly a tsundere. Maybe. No one will ever know. Jade has two feelings and they meet sometimes, but you'll have to look pretty hard and maybe trade in your soul to find out.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: I AM OKAY WITH ALL THESE THINGS but I would like a heads up for big ones, like bodyswapping and IF YOU THINK YOU NEED TO TURN INTO NEBILIM
