It just dawned on me that I started reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when I was ten, shortly before it attained mega-popularity. Sure, it was popular by the time I picked it up, because I had come across articles on it in Time (...apparently, I did read Time when I was ten.), but many others hadn't started reading it back then ( Read more... )

Yeaaah, I like how she actually managed to tie things together in the end without making up lots of new stuff, but damn that last chapter. Ruined it. >.<;;

I think you read the same Time article my mom did, 'cause that's why she bought me Harry Potter. :P

If she had to put in an epilogue, she should have made it like, one sentence long or something, 'cause I love happily vague endings. But noooo, I think she's been reading fanfic. LOLZ.

Me too! I remember seeing the books in the lib when I was in grade 5... those pretty hardbound books really got my attention. :))

The epilogue wasn't a particularly good way to end the book. Sana she kept us hanging na lang. Eeeew Ron-Hermione! And kids named after dead people! Hindi benta for a kiddy lit:\

Let's face it; no ending could have absolutely pleased everyone - so I guess this is what Rowling perceives will calm the most fans. Hahaha.

It was at least cute. I fall too easily for these kinds of things.

It wasn't cute. It was disgusting. It's like she took some stupid fanfic and passed it off as her own.
