Hello all! As you've all probably noticed, I haven't posted a caption contest this week. This is because I am and I'm going to be rather busy this weekend so I won't have the time to moderate one

*gasp!* But how is one to choose???

I may have to second the cliff-scene - it's just so brilliant and basically sums up why I love the series so much. Hilariousness and hot comraderie. What more can one ask for?

[[This said I'd also like to add: any scene in which Horatio doesn't get the joke, any scene with Major Edrington's snarkiness, any scene where Horatio and Archie look at each other adoringly, the scene where Horatio asks Bush to be his Lieutenant (so so like a marriage proposal!!), and Archie's death scene for sheer heart-breaking beautiful-ness.]]

As for the books, I'd say the whole latter half of Lieutenant Hornblower...from where Horatio cradles Bush's face onwards - so much love!

Well I didn't really expect people to limit themselves to one scene and you have fulfilled that expectation brilliantly!!!!!!

I didn't like Archie at first but his death scene won we over. *g* It was quite heartbreaking indeed.

I can't think of Edrington now without thinking of SHORE LEAVE. *coughs*

And HAHA!! Omg pineapple FTW indeed!! Oh god I love that scene. I think that might qualify as Hornblower's one truly affectionate and thoughtful moment to anyone.
