Alas, I didn't have time to write a new offering for the Extremities Challenge :( so instead I'm going to re-post something from the vaults, which I think fits the bill :) This is my second ever HH fic and it was originally written for lokei's Hornblower Alphabet Soup, way back in 2010. I don't know if I commented on this story at the time you originally posted it, but I really, really liked it. The focus on Horatio's hands was lovely, and I was actually inspired to write something (non-Hornblower related) thanks to it. Thanks for linking to it again so I have a chance to comment!

How lovely to know that this inspired you! You did mention in a comment when I first posted this that it had inspired a plot bunny so its good to hear that the bunny transformed into some actual writing :)
