Well that's just bloody brilliant. A wonderful sonnet for a beautiful spring day. Clever Archie. Clever you.

I often think that Archie is clever actually -not because of his poetry ( Lol ) but because that is how I see him - as troubled but bright and the more he recovers the more that gets to shine through :)

As always, Archie's sonnets are well worth the wait, and this one is a rare gem.

Due south...is sweet and salt and dreaming.
*faints* Archie is indeed the master of metaphoric smut.

As you are at morning, when rising brings
an orient splendour
Morning glory? ;)

This is gorgeous and I love that it's inspired by the Lieutenant's examination documentation. What fertile grounds for inspiration that has been! Thank you again m'dear you are a genius!

Yes =erm Archie has been reading far too much Donne and having far too many ''revision sessions' with Horatio

so he almost surprised himself with this :)

And re Morning glory - yes it could well be ;)

but in another meaning for the words Morning glory , the wonderful climbing plant Impomoea purpurea comes in various shades of blue and purple which may resonate with Archie's eyes
I have always wanted to grow one
