I haven't actually had a chance to read the "Reflections" articles, so if you dip into them, let us know what you think.

Many of the articles reflect on the idea that Hornblower has inspired the creation of many other characters in books, film, and television. Most of it I'd heard (or read) before. Still, interesting to see it from a different perspective. One piece talked about a typo that seems to have escaped detection and correction through several editions. It supposedly is in one of the final chapters of Lieutenant Hornblower, after HH and WB are back in Portsmouth. Checked my copy and it has been corrected... "Catwater" vs. "atwater."

I read the little article about the typo! I would never have spotted that. I must check my editions to see if it's been corrected.

I am hoping to get my son to help me put them onto my ipod. I want to listen to those poems, in that voice, over and over.

A lan y mor is so lovley and just shows Ioan's voice at his loveliest - tremendous stuff

The whole concept is a great one too - I wonder if it will take off and grow in other years

It's a lovely idea isn't it?

"Ar Lan Y Mor" is stunning, really gorgeous, almost as heart stopping as "I am Taliesin."
