Retribution set pics, with added "Aww...!" effect

Dec 29, 2011 14:58

I've searched through the actor tags (oh, the hardships!), but didn't find any of these pictures posted, so I figured I better share them. Archie features in almost all of them, and there is a good one of M'lord Edrington that he sure didn't want the world - or his mama - to see.

Perhaps it's for the Annual Vegetable Fair in Edrington Park? M'lord is supporting the cabbage growers this year.

He likes to keep it secret when off warring. And he really only joins in to keep mama happy (or so he says).

Looks like petitpoint to me, lol. Cushion covers for his grandmum?

Grandmama will be so proud. She always said a man should be nimble with his fingers (well, after the fifth sherry she did).

Everyone should have a hobby. Some people write fic about navyboys in love, and some people stitch beautiful tapestry, er, cabbag - no, on second thoughts, I got nothing.

If you put it like this, it suddenly makes a lot of sense. (If you tilt your head to the right, you can see an alien's face in the centre of the cabbage.)

I saw "alien" before I saw "cabbage!" Also, mmm, Edrington without a hat or wig. PRETTY.

Also, that doesn't look like makeup on the table in front of Archie - it looks like the sunblock they had to slather him with so he'd stay plausibly pale for El Ferrol. I read an interview where he was lamenting that he didn't get to go to the beach like the other actors!

Thank you for posting these. Where on earth did you find them?

I didn't see cabbage until it was pointed out in the comments. I was distracted by the plastic bag by the Major's chair which looks exactly like my first aid kit on trekking holidays.

It would be lovely to see Edrington with his hair loose. Judging by the length of his plait, he'd sport a mass of lush golden locks.

I assumed there is more stuff on the table that we don't see, and all of it is make-up!

I found them on a Russian or possibly Ukrainian site. Unfortunately, this seems to be it; but I will trawl it a bit more in a quiet hour, perhaps I'll find more hidden treats.

It is brilliant! I bet Ioan and Jamie cracked themselves up over it.

I think the most striking thing is how happy they all seem. Even behind the scenes there is a lot of smiling and goofing and laughing.

I wonder who was reading Henry IV?

I wondered the exact same thing! And I tried to make out the title of the other book, the one half-hidden behind the orange juice (vodka orange?). Unfortunately, it looks like "Umbridge Towers" to me, and that can't be right.

Maybe it is a menu and Umbridge Towers is the hotel or restaurant.

It looks to me as if the person sitting across from J.B. and perhaps taking the picture, was reading Henry IV.

Has Ioan ever been in Henry IV? Perhaps he was learning his lines.
