I agree on all counts and I would also add....

Paul McGann in The Monocled Mutineer - gritty, brutal and outraged the Tories at the time. Also Paul looks very pretty and gets to sing and flirt with Cheri Lunghi. (I watched this at much too impressionable an age.)

Jami Bamber in The Bell, possibly my favourite Jamie performance after Archie. (If anyone wants a copy, please DM me.)

Robert Lindsey and Peter Vaughan in Citizen Smith. Power to the People!

I will admit that I have to exercise discretion about the circumstances in which I watch "I Am Taliesin." It has, shall we say, a DECIDED effect on me. Ahem.
