Where do acting lieutenants sleep?

And what privileges do they have? Stop sniggering there, these are serious questions!

Does anyone happen to know where either acting lieutenants or passed midshipmen would sleep on a frigate? Would they berth with the midshipmen or would they have the privilege of cabins like commissioned lieutenants and senior warrant officers? Or would it just depend from ship to ship? I'm guessing the latter but wondered if anyone knew for sure.

Also what privileges, if any, would acting lieutenants be granted? At the beginning of The Frogs and Lobsters we see Kennedy admiring Hornblower's arse new uniform in what I take to be the wardroom of the Indefatigable. (Although if it is the wardroom it's considerably less swanky than the Renown's. Still, I suppose you can't really compare a frigate to a ship of the line.) So does this mean that acting lieutenants mess in the wardroom? Or once again does it just depend?
