Stark woke up to the sound of "Faithfully" by Journey: the ringtone she'd assigned to Brian Steiner. Obviously, she'd forgotten her weekend habit of turning her phone off so she could manage to sleep in for once

He'd woken up when the phone rang, or rather when the music came on. Of course he thought it had been his alarm clock and he forgot to shut it off so it got knocked off the dresser and met it's demise on the floor. He looked over at her then on the phone and when done soon as she laid down he pulled her close to him.
"That was Brian," she said drowsily, letting him pull her as she was still half-asleep. "He had to spread his joy." A pause, her face smashed into his shoulder as she was still not quite awake.
Hopefully he wouldn't be too freaked out that she still talked to her ex; they'd all known each other for years through work, but she wasn't sure he had known until she'd told him last night that she'd been dating Brian. "Did you just break something?" she asked.
"What joy is that?" He kissed the top of her head and relaxed hugging her close. "Break something?" He looked around then and noticed his alarm clock."Guess so."
"Smooth." She laughed and then sighed. "Georgia Tech is beating up on Duke. He's gloating."
This was way too new for her. Not sleeping over at his place (she'd done that a lot over the years), or even in the same bed (that'd happened a few times), but the affection and the whole change of feeling between them. She stil hadn't quite adjusted, and it was only as she woke up that she remembered that they'd been kissing the night before. That the world was definitely different now.
Maybe she'd been dreaming.
"You can go back to sleep if you want, I didn't mean to wake you up," she said quietly, not sure what to do. She glanced up at him with a smile.
