[Why is his lurking so un-subtle today? Oi.]

I've heard myths of that sort, in my world.

My experience with actual mushi is rather different, though.

[ because Ginko needs to practice his ninja skillz. ]

Is that so? I'm not surprised to have some worlds with overlapping mythologies. There's so many people from variations of Earth. Ah, yes, mushi you've spoken about those before. What sort of experiences, if you don't mind my asking?

They were likely youkai of some sort.

Demons? Oh I don't know about that. They don't seem to have the same air about them like demons do. Though it's quite hard to say, they're an elusive bunch.

Youkai are not demons.

Ah, my apologies. In my world youkai is another term used to signify demonic aspects of a thing. It's more of a generalization I guess. Though, in actuality youkai really aren't your typical demons, so you're right as well!

[More musing to himself than anything, but the journal still broadcasts it...] A reptilian water monster?

Correct! There's quite a variety, though these are some of the more tame. [ He sounds quite chipper, actually. Even if you didn't meant to broadcast it. Whoops. ]

[Now he's wondering just how interested Helios would be if he mentioned he's actually a dragon.]

What do you think about dragons?

[ He'd be ecstatic because the dragon he knows back home is a bastard, so a nice one would be a an awesome change! ]

Dragons? Hm, well they're magnificent creatures! Wise, powerful, and they're quite compassionate towards humans, especially after all humans have put them through.

I-I um, like the rain. It smells nice.

um. Not that I am saying the sunny days aren't also nice!

Mm especially in the summer, doesn't it? A lovely smell if I do say so myself. It brings back memories.

I think rainy days and sunny days both have their own perks and qualities. It depends on the person, really.

It does. A-and I know I like the rainy. That is when I didn't hang my laundry out to dry before hand in the morning and then went to work.

In my world there are the kappa. Water spirits. They love to play pranks and eat small children, but they can be tamed - they make very intelligent and loyal servants.

... They're mythological, of course. I'm not one.

Oh yes, yes Kappa! They're a social bunch, better at human interaction than most. [ He sighs a little at the last part about them becoming loyal servants. ] Servants...I don't condone the action really, it's not right. They're far too intelligent and well adapted for such things.

Haha mythological! Of course, but what if they were actually real?

i_speak_softly March 13 2010, 00:32:46 UTC
If they - well, I'm glad they're not. [Memories of things his father threatened him with. Things that are funny now, but which were terrifying when he was three years old.]

If they were real, people would probably do worse to them than trick them into slavery. Humans don't take kindly to creatures that eat their children...

You think so? You're probably right but that's why I- [ He doesn't finish his sentence, but instead lets out a small sigh. ]

Ah but they're really quite good company! They have a sense of humor like you wouldn't believe! I think it's the human aspect and being around them more. [ Yeah feel free to think he's crazy for that one. ]
