Some people will take any excuse to behave like this. In Vancouver, after all, they did it over hockey. And in trivializing things, the real root issues will get swept under the rug for another few decades so that more assholes will have an excuse then. There's something borderline masochistic about that.

Perhaps it's in our opposable thumbs that we have to fling feces at one another.

Whatever happens, stay safe. I think we're all sorry to see what's happening.

Yup, the root causes will most certainly disappear from view after all of this. Although some attempts at political point scoring is starting up!

I am lucky to live pretty distant to all of the major hotspot areas, but these things are spreading.
