Since you mention the Down Under movie, for which I have a weak spot, I feel impelled to post a link to my post of long back about the flaming overt intentional undeniable holy cow slashiness of that movie: http://community.livejournal.com/fol_fiction/11298.html

thanks for the link, cav! I too have a special fondness for the movie, and I think your analysis is spot on. The sexual innuendo in the first draft is both shocking and insightful. I also like your mention of the use of color. Out of curiosity, I checked Nat and Tootie's blankets, and noticed that not only were they identical, but they were also striped. That's right: STRAIGHT lines. Straight, get it? lol Sorry, having too much fun as a subtext-spotter. ;)

Thank you so much for posting. I love Nancy (not only as Jo but as an actress in general), and I'm a huge fan of hers.

Haha, I like in the last part, the part about the three-year-old who was a little confused about Nancy being in the car, yet on television. Adorable.

Also, I noticed the Jo/Blair pictures they showed in this biography. Too cute.

Thanks again for posting this! :)
