ok, so yeah this is the 1st time i've ever tried to do one of these so i apologize if it sucks and doesn't make sense. i use psp 7 it involves levels and a color balance layer, and it going to make this icon

Sadly I can't adapt it to my graphics program, but perhaps I can use some of your "tricks" ;)
Oh, and for me it wasn't more confusing than the other tuts I've read!

thanks! oh that sucks i have some other easy ways to do coloring with just a color layer and some duplicating if you wanna know how to do that.
well your doing great for still learning the language. i mean i can barely speak english right and i was born in america lol

no problem, you really are doing well learning the language. i wish i spoke more than one but i'm too lazy to learn ha. and as for an easy way to color icons. i'll explain that in another post that way i can past the pics step by step and whatever.
oh and also there is a group here at lj that is all about icon tutorial i'll try to find the link for you
