Research papers are the devil. D: What's yours over?

Uhm. Ruroken. Rurouni Kenshin? They're making a new one? Huh. Maybe I should go back and finish the first anime, I haven't watched it since it was on Toonami or Adult Swim or whatever the hell, and I never got into the manga. My wife absolutely loves it though. I wonder if she's heard. Hmm...

i'm arguing (in my first draft, due in an hour and a half) that Othello's Iago has antisocial personality disorder. i'm actually torn over whether or not "shits and giggles" is acceptable in an academic research paper...

yeah! it's amazing! the manga, anyway. in retrospect the first anime is mediocre and filleriffic. but it was totally my favorite as a kid! i remember sneaking up past my bedtime to watch it on Toonami. i was sad they never got to the last story arc (in my opinion, the best)...
can i interest you in the OVAs then? they're angsty as hell, but the animation and (admittedly laconic) storyline are superb. the exploration of the romantic dynamic is exponentially better (in the anime and manga it feels kinda like "pair 'em! they're the male and female lead. you know the rules." hardly any elaoration on their individual feelings. but that's a shounen series for ya...).

Haha, what was the verdict on "shits and giggles"? I think it fits, from what I remember of Othello. You got a good argument going there. What class is this for?

I know I really liked what I saw of it. I think I actually own the first couple volumes of the manga, now that I think of it. I may pick it up and start getting into it again, I can always use more shounen series, haha. If nothing else I'll watch the OVA's.

Haha, I know I shipped the main pair really hard when I watched it. I thought they were adore. Dunno how I'd feel about it now, though. Probably gonna have to take my slash goggles off for a while.

i didn't end up including it.
pity. from what i gather, my "actual argument" was a godsend in the sea of mediocre papers he suffered so i probably could've gotten away with anything...
