Today, I took a good look at everything I've gotten into, fandom-wise, and realized that every book, anime, manga, comic, TV show, or whatEVER that I've been really, really captivated by initially (and therefore joined the fandom for) has had an ending that either depressed me completely, pissed me off because either the story blew itself up or ( Read more... )

Yeah, it's been like this for a while. I've only noticed it again because two of the new fandoms I'm in have done it to me, as well.

It's even worse when you realize you've done little or nothing to change that--except in the rare case when you have, but it backfired and the series/fandom pulled a twist on you. At least, that's what happened for me. /D; The fandom gods must hate us.

Oh god, I know right? Honestly, I knew one of the series would make me sad, but I didn't expect the anime to put the canon through a paper shredder. The other one, though? It's a SHOUJO COMEDY. It's not supposed to make me sad at the last minute.
