First and foremost, it's funny! The contributors make an effort to inform too, so you get useful tips like how parasites in pork can't really be killed at stove top temperatures, only by freezing for 4 or 5 days.

I also do cook. :D Never with the virtuosity of SFLYC, who has the skillz, but hopefully more hit than miss.

But I'd recommend the site to anyone, especially people who don't have much time, access to complicated ingredients, and want to know the whys and hows of getting it right.

P.S. TV chefs are all very entertaining, especially Nigella :) Unfortunately they all seem to have magic doors leading to Tuscany or Tokyo or Valencia so I don't take them very seriously.
