The Scholar and I went in for a detailed ultrasound this morning. An 8:00 am appointment. Seems we had a hit on our "quad screening", a test where they determine the levels of four naturally occuring proteins within the womb, excessively high or low levels could be indicative of a problem. Y'know, I think that somewhere out there, statistically speaking, there are probably a number of intelligent forms of life.
And they prove it every goddam day by steering clear of this fuckin' place.

My lungs feel like they've been sanded. I was pretty much okay this morning, walked Hoku to school and pulled Malu in the wagon, then I got back home and I can't stop hacking my lungs up. I was sweating by the time I got home and really needed to sit down. Weird because I felt much better these last few days. Now...not so much.

Hokulani has a doctors appointment tomorrow at 3:00. Her "wellness visit". Currently we've no way of getting there, is there anybody who'd be willing to give us a lift? Saline Health Center. The appointment shouldn't take long at all. Help me out? We'll fed ya' (I know, it's Friday, we woulda' done that anyway), and I'll pay for gas. Any takers?

My throat is making me nuts, it hurts to swallow and at the same time it feels coated. It's quite nasty. Thankfully that seems to be my only symptom. Poor Malu has been sniffling and coughing up a storm, and trying every angle to get out of this house today.
