Just when it was starting to calm down a bit.

... I don't like this.

Good to know I'm not the only one with a bad feeling...

[sighs as he stuffs his hands in his pockets, coming to a halt next to Edward with a deep frown on his features.]

I suppose the question now is, what do we do about it?

*A sideways glance is offered to the human, taking a moment to determine if it was one of the ones he'd met already - they were all so similar at a first glance* What can we do about it?

Something's ... Not right. I was kept locked in a house on the countryside my entire existence, did you think I had a master plan? *He'd always had that sarcastic side, but it rarely came out here - the situation was entirely different from the one he'd live in before, so it generally brought out another side of his personality. The homunculus looked thoughtful for a moment before adding the last, softly*

He wouldn't need to think about it, he'd just rush right in... Plan or no plan.

And that's exactly what got him in trouble. Constant. Trouble.

[A sigh, a smirk and a finger scratches across his brow. The expression is slightly hollow, distant even, but definitely lacking a certain humor with the chuckle that follows it.]

We don't need a 'master' plan, just a plan in general. If we go running in there guns a-blazin' so to speak we'd just get crushed.

[he glances at Edward for a minute, and the smirk fades in to something of a more placid look.]

So I had some time to think. If you are what I think you are, why would you be willing to help keep people safe as opposed to letting the lunatics running around here do what they want? I tried to come up with an answer myself, but I'd rather not assume.

*He hesitated at that response, but didn't answer waiting for Roy to continue. When he finished, the homunculus tilted his head taking a moment before speaking*

He wasn't trying to bring his brother back, you know. He'd always tried to see good in the creature they created, tried to convince them both that it was really their mother in there somewhere... Maybe he thought he could prove it, that a homunculus raised to believe they were the human they resembled.. would just act like that human, by default.

I can't say he's right.. Just because I wasn't named after the sin that I am doesn't mean I don't realize which one it is. Is that supposed to stop me from caring about the well being of humans that I've gotten attached to, while here?

We're just as unique as you humans, why do you all try so hard to lump us in together like something so predictable?

...[Tilts his ear in the direction of the voice.]

Edward?

*He pauses at the sound, staring at the boy with closed eyes for a moment before responding* Not the one you know.

*Is in a wheelchair too. Pity him.*

Huh? But you sound exactly like Edward Elric!

*He might, if the presence of a wheelchair meant anything to him. But he wouldn't know being blind and in a wheelchair was any more worthy of pity than he would that Fletcher's a cross-over reference*

Sorry kid, *And in those two words he probably sounded more like Edward Elric than he ever had* In this world, there's countless copies of the same person, and in my world Edward Elric is dead.

So I can't be him.

[eyebrow]

Snow Als? Sounds wonderfully productive, Edward. Though I suppose I should expect no less from one of you.

Anyway, I heard explosions, and that can usually only mean one thing. ...unless it's it's that lunatic Hutchinson. But this bad feeling is telling me that's wishful thinking.
