What is that supposed to mean?!

That I'm yet to meet a physicist in this place who I could bother talking to.
You'd think that as a meeting point of worlds there'd be someone.

In case you've forgotten, I'm a physicist.

Of course not. Physics is the science of crackpots.

Do you believe so, sir?
I would disagree.

Whenever you hear about one in the papers he's always doing something crazy like trying to strap wings to his back and fly or build a castle in the middle of the ocean. They're nuts. You should try alchemy if you want a real science.

That is not what physics is about - I, myself, am researching proper methods of propulsion to create a...machine, or sorts, that would greatly expand our knowledge and abilities.
Alchemy...I would like to say that it is a crackpot science. However I cannot.

Y-Y-Yes, sir.

I...

I uh...

*Blushing. Cue lots and lots of blushing.*

I'm in fact studying towards a type of space cruiser, which will take people up and into space, allowing us to colonize other worlds. U-Unfortunately, the gravity engine still doesn't work, and creating false gravity is much harder in practice than in theory...

Th-Though the engines are all my designs, and in the tests I was able to perform, they work perfectly, a-and...
