This was much loved. :) I've never thought of Maria and Rebecca as a couple but I now love the idea, and I love how you played it out. And the ending...it's nice to see some guessing as to how she lived.

Oh, this was lovely! I loved Maria in this, and her friendship with Rebecca. And it was great that not only did you have Maria and her unrequited feelings for Rebecca, but you also matched it with Danny's hopeless crush on Maria. A nice parallel there.

I'm so glad (after reading the other comments) that I'm not the only one who cried! As I said over AIM in the early morning after reading it, to a friend: MARIAAAAAAAA.

I love her so much. I love how well you capture her quiet, caring, kickass nature--her interactions with her little made-family. I love how homesick she seems in the last part.

I love how she knows Rebecca doesn't return her feelings, but she still can't quite let them up. So normal. <333333.

I also love how Rebecca doesn't quite get it, but she's supportive--<333.

And, um, the part that made me cry is when I realized she might not realize Hughes knew that she was innocent. MARIA. DDDD:.

But they were good tears! It's lovely! I want to know more about Jei!
