I love how you've taken Rebecca and Maria -- two characters who really only have a handful of scenes between them -- and crafted a deep and believable and complex friendship. Also great work with Mei and Lan Fan, and the way you illuminate Xing through them, and through Rebecca's impressions.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for writing this for me. The thought you've put into it shows and I do appreciate all the worldbuilding you've done around this trip! Like Rebecca and Maria, I too was puzzled to see nothing of Riza (it seems uncharacteristic of her or Roy to travel apart) but I am glad for the opportunity it presents, in this particular interpretation, for Rebecca and Maria to get to know one another. It's really nice to see the kinds of things they might have been up to post-canon! THANK YOU AGAIN.

This was a very nice read! Your development of Maria and Rebecca's friendship was interesting, as was your interpretation of what they might do post-canon. I especially loved the relationship between Mei and Lan Fan, and enjoyed the ladies teasing Roy about missing Riza! Also your way of writing is always beautiful - your sentences are often lyrical in your description, and that's a pleasure to read.

Oooh, I really like this, the way Rebecca and Maria learn about each other as they travel and learn about Xing and gradually become friends now, instead of during the time they knew each other more superficially in Central. Also love Rebecca calling Maria 'madwoman', and Mustang and Mei's friendship is *adorable*.
