Delightful! Utterly and completely delightful! It was humorous and at the same time, I found it rather endearing of Roy to take up Rivers' journal. Almost like he was being a big brother figure? I can see him and Rivers geeking out in the office over formulas XDDDD

Lovely descriptions, too! I am astounded, truly!

Aw, you flatter me too much! I'm glad the description stuck, though; I had to cut almost 200 words from this thing! Now there's a challenge.

M'glad you found it humourous, too! And endearing, yes'm. <3 Roy is... definitely a nosey big brother. Gotta look after his subordinates, though, right? Most definitely. ;D And now they can hang out and bore all the other soldiers to death with alchemy talk. It'll be the best! Rivers will bring the chocolate and marshmallows and Roy can start the campfire! ... No? Too much?

Hehe, adorable. It would be so Roy to want to fix up those formulas, LOL. And heh, like Alex is into science/alchemy there. Great work!

Well, of course! He can't just pass up the chance to show off his knowledge, can he? And if it's kind of a nerdy pastime, well, whatever. Alex is way geekier than he is, anyway~

Glad you liked it!

Aw. Roy's going to pay a lot more attention to Alex now. I'll bet that he had a notebook like that when he was younger. (Probably still has one now.) But shame on Roy for assuming that the notebook was a diary (would he have thought that if Alex were a male?) and for invasion of privacy! Anyway, they have a real connection now, and that is great. I'd like to see the two of them interact with each other.

I love the idea of Roy wandering around an empty office and thinking about his subordinates while observing their desks.

To be fair, Alex does look like the kind of girl who would more likely keep a diary -- and I'm sure Roy would've snooped into whatever it was no matter the gender of its owner. xD At least it worked to give them a reason to talk to each other, no? And it caught your interest, too; I consider that a success!

Gotta love Roy's relationships with his subordinates. What a nice family they make~

I loved the imagery in this story. I have always thought of Roy as the kind of guy to indulge in his secret nerd-ism in private (to protect his image, of course). You've captured it wonderfully here!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I see it the same way. :'3 All those alchemists try to act cool, but, at least to some small degree, they're all nerds on the inside~
