It's a miracle none of that killed him. But then, if his sons are any indication, I doubt Hoho's the kind who would let something like that get him.

Does kinda make you wonder, though, what changed his opinion of alchemy -- or if it did change? And what, if any, lasting effects some of those experiments would have.

I took something that made me pee green once, but I don't remember what it was or why I took it. Poor Hoho being a guinea pig that cleans :(

Ooh a look into Hohenheim's youth. I love the past you've put into this, of him being with his mother and his previous master. And a name he can't remember. Very believable! Poor thing though, it's a wonder nothing bad came of those experiments. Well, other than a very bad homonculus, heh. Well done!

The part about him being separated from his mother was something I had never considered but is very likely what happened. I, like tirinkadink, am intrigued by his change in position on alchemy. I'll bet Hohenheim never used any human guinea pigs!

Poor 23. I liked the part about blotting out a painful past - and the hints of how mercenary his master was.
