"And here we are in the final moments of the grand co-ed championship basketball match," boomed the announcer. "It's been a very close, very tense game, folks, and it's really coming down to the wire. These last few minutes will end the tie between the South Carolina Homunculi and our home team, the California Flames. Flames captain Roy Mustang seems to be having words with small forward Edward Elric-"
"DON'T CALL ME SMALL!"
"Shut up, that's the name of your position!"
"-while point guard Jean Havoc keeps going toe to toe with the Homunculi's shooting guard, Veronique Desiree. The scores are tied and there's some serious injury on both sides; Homunculi center King Bradley has a number of bruises, while shooting guard Envy Green seems to have gotten severely burned from a confrontation with Mustang. Flames power forward Riza Hawkeye was carried off the court a while ago with what looked to be a wicked neck injury, too, no word on her present condition. Meanwhile, the Homunculi coach, Don "Papa" Flask, is pulling out his small forward, Lin Prince, and replacing him with Selim Pride; not sure what the logic of that move is, except that he's evidently furious with Prince for some reason."
The orange ball was a blur on the court. "I tell you, folks, this is incredibly, incredibly tense. Wait, wait - Mustang is signaling for a time out. He seems to be having some eye strain. No, he's conferring with May Chang, the Flames' athletic trainer. What's this? The crowd's going crazy - Hawkeye is back in the game, folks, the Homunculi just can't keep her down! Bradley looks particularly furious - there was a rumor that he pursued the feisty power forward for a possible draft to the Homunculi, but she refused to leave Mustang. The game is back in session, and the Flames seem to be inspired by their teammate's return. Bradley's got the ball and makes a long shot, but hits the backboard and we have a pretty harsh rebound. Shooting guard Heymans Breda is attempting to divert Pride long enough for Hawkeye to grab the ball...she passes to Havoc...Havoc eludes Desiree and nails a slam dunk! There's the buzzer and it's all over! The Flames take the championship!"
