And good for Barcelona that none of the other teams considered for the Laureus was so spectacular - I've seen the All Blacks playing, and it wasn't that impressive (and I LOVE the All Blacks). If anything, the good ones were the tough Japanese footballers, winning against expectations. So good that futbol is a game where size and strength don't matter.

I wouldn't say that they don't matter, but speed and skill definitely compensate, at least for a lot of midfielders and forwards. I LOVE the fact that two of the greatest footballers in the world (Messi and Xavi) are barely 5'7.

These boys provide a ton of fodder for slashers - no engineering required!
