So, what is Ello like than, specifically? Is it any easier to interact with people than tumblr?
I miss the LJ invite codes. Made the site seem more...refined, I guess. Like it kept riff raff out. Maybe not, I just always feel like once FB was open to everyone, things got out of hand with all the fake accounts and people stalking or using FB as a way to gossip and create "drama" as you say. I guess that's just an unfortunate part of the internet, but in memory, it feels like times were better when not just anyone could join a social site.
Well then, you'd like Ello. Since it's in beta, you have to get an invite code. I'd give you one, but I'm all out (damn people who open an account and then abandoned it). There's a Reddit community (r/ello2) that has invites.
