Sweet relief
Ahhhhh.... Finally, a day where I don't have to worry about doing anything. I finished up all the PG&E sampling this weekend. The weather was horrible. Well, not as bad as it could have been, but the waves were 10-13 feet, and the wind was blowing them right onto the rocks where we were sampling, so we all got completely soaked and we couldn't ( Read more... ) -
I'm feeling the budget cuts now!
Wow, so the schedules are out now, and things are looking pretty bare. One class that I really wanted to get out of the way isn't being offered, so that's a bummer, but I still managed to pack my schedule full. I have a meeting with my adviser on Friday, and won't get to register until after April 1st, but right now, this is what I'm thinking ( ( Read more... ) -
Is the weekend over yet?
I know, weird question to be asking, right? However, I spent 22 out of 48 hours on the water or working. We finished up the last of our boating safety class and were on the water from 8-5 Saturday and Sunday. Dr.'s Appointment
I went to see the new doctor today. Details are on my other blog, but basically, the doctor doesn't think I have anything to worry about (my random blood sugar test was 107, perfectly normal), but because of my family history, I am going in next week to do fasting blood sugar, a lipid panel, and a general blood chemical test to make sure I'm ( Read more... ) -

Just a quick little post. A few minutes ago, the little boy next door (maybe 3 or 4?) started yelling "Mom?" and came outside. He was really crying and had that panic in his voice that said "I really don't know where she is!" A week to be remembered
Well, let's go ahead and start with:
THE WEEKEND: I had boating safety from 8am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was mostly book work, and Sunday we played in the pool putting on life jackets, capsizing boats and righting them again, and that sort of thing. Didn't really learn anything life changing that was more than what should be common ( Read more... ) -
And roadtrip updates!
I've begun thinking about expanding my roadtrip to Alaska this summer. Instead of driving to Juneau and back, now I'm thinking about driving to Glacier Bay National Park, up to Fairbanks, then to Glacier National Park in Montana, possibly to Yellowstone National Park (why not since I'll be down that way), down to Denver, over to Yosemite National ( Read more... ) -

I can't be updating so soon! But yes, here I am, with a lot on my mind, but my mind doesn't seem to be very structured today so it will probably be a rambling and superficial post. Or not. My brain works that way sometimes. So, I'll just start typing and see where we end up.

I didn't even post a single entry in January. Whoops. So it looks like another long catch everyone up post:
Came home from Red Bluff around the 9th and spent the next week taking care of some house stuff and being lazy. Then, on the 20th, 2 days before school started and 3 days before my 21st birthday, I get sick. Like really really sick. Full ( Read more... )
