I'm kind of amazed that I got out of it alright - even my laptop - which was inside my pack as I crashed to the ground - is working just fine.

I'm so glad you're OK. It sounds like a horrible fall, but thank goodness there were good people around you to help when it happened. And I'm so glad neither you or your stuff is too bad off. But yikes - embarassing too! Thank goodness for undies.

Darn those shoes! Maybe if you write Crocs and threaten to sue... they'll give you a discount on your next pair :-D ;-) :-p
