A while ago, on a whim, I entered our work Dragon's Den with an idea about reducing the amount of paper that the office generates. And by some weird chance I ended up getting through to the semi-final, and had to pitch my idea to five category managers, odds went from 90 down to 17. Oh it is. D'you know what makes it slightly more bearable? You see the black strappy sandals on the 3rd row down from the top, 2nd pair in from the left? They are the first pair of high heels I ever bought... when I was 17! So I think I can safely say that this collection has been built up over the years and not in the space of a few months. Phew!

And to try and quell the want, I sent that photograph to my mobile, and set it as my wallpaper - so now, when I see shoes and go 'Eek!' I can look at my wallpaper and go 'No! You've already got a pair like that!'. Good, no? X

Why thank you. I'm feeling quite confident about it now - I've seen the ideas I'm up against, and all I keep thinking when I read them is: Why would you want that? That's not going to change anything, that's not even relevant! My idea is brilliant!

Believe it or not, I hadn't even thought about how many shoes I could get for a grand... I was thinking I might add it to my savings and buy something a bit more expensive. Like a house. X
