I used to get the same way, and I do still sometimes. I just sort of think to myself, I can't stop it if it's going to happen, and sure it's scary, but I would rather spend my life not worrying about the inevitable and focus on what I have in my life to really be happy about.
I usually watch some fun tv, sleep it off, and in the morning I feel a little better about it. Just like anything bad, try and take your mind off of it and I'm sure the feeling will pass :)
