FINALLY!

Sorry I don't write much these days, but I don't want this to turn into me whining about my crappy job all the time. The important thing is that I'm looking for other jobs and leave it at that.

So I've finally caught up with the latest Doctor Who and just a quick run-down:

in which much gushing over the latest episode is done. )

doctor who, geeky, how much i suck, rambling review

I love that this episode made us dislike the Doctor. Too often we just get presented with his actions and 'that's the right way, because it's the Doctor doing it'. Aaaaugh so many FEELINGS.

I think some fans forget how harsh the Doctor can be.

Heh, I love Amy, but then pouty and shouty in a short skirt works for me.

Otherwise, I pretty much agree with all of this. Let's Kill Hitler was hit-and-miss for me, mostly for the reasons you've listed, and I thought Night Terrors was a pretty solid standalone episode.

And yeah, The Girl Who Waited had some serious emotional punch. I felt like we got to know all three characters better in this episode, which I suppose makes sense because it's really just the three of them making choices and reacting to each others' choices instead of them running around saving other people from monsters. They're starting to make better use of Rory in general, which is definitely a good thing. He has a lot of potential, and for a long time they just ignored that.
