I finally realized that I don't like Greek. And all it took was 2 1/2 years. Specifically, a semester of Sophocles. I mean, seriously, how many participles does one language need ( Read more... )

We run med lat here, but I haven't opted ofr it because it's taken by the same bastard that "teaches" palaeography.

He's evil. This is the second time I'm taking this class with him (due to evil rl reasons) and his teaching ability is akin to a swimming instructor throwing you bricks.

We do encounter a lot of St Augustine though.

*sigh* Sucky teachers. We have a new Latin prof here who seems to be the same way. I've had her for history, and she seems descent enough. (Well, maybe at the higher levels. In Intro to Greek History, she was everywhere) But she apparently really sucks teaching language.

I love me some St. Augustine! Which is weird, because I hate him in English. Have you read the pear tree story? We aren't reading it in class, but I really really want to.
