Despite never having threaded, in my head, John is sort of Shawn's hero. Because he just seems THAT COOL. The admiration from afar thing is totally canon, too, since Shawn thinks meeting your hero just ends in disappointment when said hero turns out to be an ass. Like Kevin Sorbo... Shawn doesn't think John's an ass, but not risking interactions keeps it that way and keeps him securely up on his pedestal XD

I'm sure that Elizabeth would come and visit John at his work, running the Ferris Wheel, or at some time in New Atlantis, most every day. Generally, she would just be interested in small talk, and ensuring he was doing alright, especially after the vanishing of Teyla.
