Look, something more interesting, knocking on his door!

Eleanor drew a nervous steadying breath and told herself for the thousandth time that she was being reckless, and stupid, and that she ought to go back to her room and try to go back to the book that she couldn't seem to be interested in tonight. She fidgeted, tugging her dress awkwardly.

Maybe she could skitter off before he realized she was ever here? Probably not.

Well, then, she was just here to say hello and maybe go on a date. Watch a movie. Something. Really.

"Entrez-vous!" Joker called cheerfully. He began shutting things down -- leaving in the middle of a match was rude, sure, but the kids online would deal.

Well, so much for bailing on the evening before it began. Eleanor opened the door, and hesitated in his doorway.

"I'm ... not bothering you, am I?" she asked. "You weren't busy?"

As if he wouldn't set all of that down, anyway.

"Bothering me?" Joker asked. "You think you could ever possibly be bothering me? Look, the day you come in here and I'd rather keep doing what I'm doing instead of hanging out with you, I'll ask the flying pig to bring you some snow from Hell."

He looked her up and down appreciatively. "Especially when you're dressed like that. What's the occasion?"
