Room 405, Friday Evening

Sep 27, 2014 00:27

Well, this had definitely been a day. Yes, it had. Joker had spent a while talking to Hackett about Fandom, and his future, and various important things. And now that it was over, Joker was curled up on his bed and watching a movie.

[ For those what know who they are, but also open. ]

"Soooooooooooooo, you're sure this is a good idea," Anna said, hesitantly, as she followed her sister down the hallway. "Because I can sleep on the floor. Or the hall! Or there's a hotel, which the barkeep lady said was kind of like an inn? I brought some money, I'm sure they'll take it."

(FOR GREAT OVERNIGHT SP JUSTICE)

"Well, it's an idea," Elsa allowed, because even she had no idea if it was a good one or not. "Joker's a great person, I think you'll both get along well. Just don't get too forward - cuffing him on the back or something could do him a lot of real damage."

And then she'd never be able to ask Joker for a favor again.

"He was one of my very first friends. Even if he doesn't have a bed to spare, I'd like you to meet him."

"I'm not forward," Anna insisted, suddenly appalled. And for that matter, suddenly panicking. "You don't think I'm going to -- look, maybe you have a boyfriend but I'm not going to get forward with a boy I don't even know! Elsa, I can't sleep in a boy's room! What if he gets forward! Or, I mean," wait, she was accusing Elsa's friend of being some kind of pervert, that was coming off wrong, "I mean, just, isn't it forward to be in a boy's room at all? What about my reputation, or, or, or, propriety?"

"That... wasn't quite what I meant, Anna," Elsa said patiently, trying to sound soothing. "I just mean, he's fragile. Nothing inappropriate will happen, he's got Eleanor and they're very happy together. But even if you manage to get along well as friends, and I'm sure you will, he's fragile. You could actually hurt him."

For most people, she'd just let Barry do the explaining. But Anna was... Anna. And also drunk. She was taking no risks, here. Especially not if she was thinking maybe she'd drop her sister off and run, or something.

Well. Not run. She'd already done that once today.
